Goodbye Ms. Winter/ Dovidjena Gospodjice Zimo

No more winter for us. Not that it lasted long, but it was to dry to my understanding of a winter. Not enough snow:( We only had it for couple of days this winter. But those days are now gone and spring is getting pretty near. So here I am at the newest outfit. Today I wore black  skirt, which rides up on the wind, as in some old Fellini's film, white t-shirt, my favourite black blazer, and some old converse sneakers (converse should always be old:)) Great outfit for this day, and I hope you like it.
Be glorious, don't just dream about it!

Budite slavni, nemojte doveka sanjati o tome.

Duke Sima Markovic, street/ ulica kneza Sime Markovica

Today we took pictures in the part of city that is historically the best preserved one. This part of the city was called the "Old Town Gate", according to one of the four gates, that you had to pass if you wanted to enter the city, during the rule of the Ottoman Empire. It was demolished in 1862, and in the recent history this part of the city is better known by the Kosancic street, princess Ljubica's palace, or by the Congregational Church of St. Michael the Archangel. And whoever describes this part of the city, always skip this beautiful building, which is present in the same place for more than a century. We didn't want to make the same mistake, so we took couple of pics in my new street style. Simple, casual yet desirable outfit:)
Be glorious, don't just dream about it!

Budite  slavni, nemojte doveka sanjati o tome!

Russian Tsar/ Ruski car

Here I am with a new post, which is again bound to pritiest buildings in the Belgrade. This time I took picture at the core center of Belgrade, the Knez Mihailova street. This building, behind me, was made in 1926, and it is embellished with all the qualities of academic Mannerism (Yes I know that I probably sound like a professor of art history:)). Not too historically important to Belgrade (made for housing and rental)  but it is still one of the most beautiful buildings. It is actually best known for the pub "Ruski car" ("Russian Tsar"), which is closed, unfortunately.
So I hope you like my new plaid combination, which is very ravishing, where the hat gives a dose of elegance to all of casualness. Combined with low-heeled it makes the perfect outfit for the promened through the center of town.
Be glorious, don't just dream about it!

Serbian Railways/ zgrada CIP-a, Srpke Zeleznice

Another spring day in a middle of Januaray!!! Great weather for shooting couple of pics:) For todays post we chose the building of the Serbian Railway's is placed on the corner of the Sarajevska and Nemanjina street. It is the most tipical example of the neoclassicism, and maybe the best one in the Belgrade. It was projected by Svetozar Jovanovic, and it was built in 1922. At first the Ministry of Railways was stationed in that building. Now there is no ministry of railways, but still the building is being used for the same purpose. At 1950 the museum of History of Serbian Railways was opend at the same building, and it still works (which is not the case with some other museums, for exmpl. National museum who is closed for more than 10 years). In front of museum entrance, the locomotive 99.4 is set. One of the first build locomotives in the Serbia.
Hope you like this building, and the next couple of posts, where you can see the rest of our beautiful city.
Be glourious, don't just dream about it!

Belgrade city hall/ Gradska skupstina Beograd

This photoshoot is dedicated to one of the largest renaissance buildings in our city, the Belgrade's city hall, or the Old Palace, as it was called before. It was build in 1884, by the orders of the king Milan Obrenovic, who use it as a residence. In 1893 the king's throne was taken by force, of his son, later also king, Aleksandar Obrenovic. King Aleksandar Obrenovic didn't keep his krown for very long time, as he was murder with his queen Draga Masin, and thrown down from the roof of the Old palace, and by this, not very nice event, this building was most acclaimed. Later on, it was used by the Karadjordjevic dinasty, until the Second world war, when it was taken by the comunists, and changed a couple of purposes until it become Belgrade's city hall. In front of this building you have a big and beautiful park, that I gladly use for walking Napoleon and Bombastik, who don't like to pose a lot, but they just love to bother us during the shootout, and enter the frame to mess up the pic, as you can see it on photos below text:)
Be glorious, don't just dream about it!
